The Republic of The Bahamas is an island country located in the Atlantic Ocean. Due to its location, The Bahamas is a popular tourist destination for travelers from around the world. There are no travel restrictions to The Bahamas for citizens of any country. However, all visitors must have a valid passport and be prepared to show proof of onward travel.

Can US citizens travel to the Bahamas right now?
As of now, there is no mandatory quarantine required upon entry to The Bahamas. However, if an individual tests positive for COVID-19 or shows symptoms, they are required to quarantine themselves.
If you are a US citizen, you will generally need to present a valid US passport when travelling to The Bahamas. You may also need to provide proof of anticipated departure from The Bahamas. Those travelling to The Bahamas on a cruise may be able to use another document that complies with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI).
What does fully vaccinated mean Bahamas
The new requirements for fully vaccinated travellers take effect from 1 July 2021. All travellers, regardless of nationality, who are aged 12 and over and are fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine, will be required to upload proof of vaccination to the ICA website prior to departure. This can be in the form of a CDC or government-issued vaccine record card. Unvaccinated travellers will still be required to take a PCR test prior to departure.
If you are planning to travel to the United States, you will need to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 2 days before your flight. This is a new requirement that has been put in place in order to help prevent the spread of the virus. Be sure to plan ahead and get your test done in plenty of time before your trip.
Does Bahamas require proof of vaccination?
If you have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, you will no longer need to take a RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen Test to travel to The Bahamas. This change will take effect on 19 June 2022.
Some countries require travellers to demonstrate that they received their primary course of a COVID-19 approved vaccination or booster within a certain time period. Travellers should carefully check requirements before travelling.
Do I need a negative Covid test to fly?
Airlines should only allow people to board who have a negative test result for COVID-19 or documentation of recovery. This will help to keep other passengers safe and reduce the spread of the virus.
As of October 1st, 2020, US citizens will be able to enter or depart the country on closed-loop cruises with limited documentation. All that will be required is proof of citizenship, such as an Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL), a government-issued birth certificate, or passport. For those 16 and older, a government-issued ID will also be necessary. This policy change should make planning and taking a closed-loop cruise much simpler and more convenient for US citizens.
What is the best time of year to go to The Bahamas
The one downside to visiting The Bahamas during November or late April is that you may not have as many amenities open to you as during the peak season. However, the weather is still beautiful, and the crowds are much smaller. Plus, you’ll be outside of the hurricane season, so you don’t have to worry about that.
COVID-19 testing is no longer required for persons travelling inter-island, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status (unvaccinated or fully vaccinated).
What COVID tests are approved for Bahamas?
