As of October 15th, 2020, the state of Hawaii has implemented a mandatory 14-day quarantine for all visitors and residents returning from out-of-state travel. This applies to all visitors, regardless of where they are coming from or whether they have been vaccinated. The only exceptions to this rule are for essential workers and travelers coming from within the state.
Residents who are returning from out-of-state travel are required to submit to a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of their return. If they test negative, they may end their quarantine. If they test positive, they must remain in quarantine for the remainder of the 14 days.
These travel restrictions are in place in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Hawaii.
