As of June 9th, 2020, the Canadian government has put in place a series of travel restrictions in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. These restrictions include:
-A ban on all non-essential travel to Canada
-A ban on all cruiseship travel
-A requirement for all travelers entering Canada to self-isolate for 14 days
These restrictions are subject to change at any time, so it is important to keep up to date on the latest information.
The travel restrictions vary depending on what province you are travelling to, but generally you will need a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of your flight. You will also need to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.
Do I still need a Covid test to enter Canada from us?
If you are planning to return or travel to Canada, you should be aware of the following requirements:
-A valid passport
-A valid visa (if required)
-A completed ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) form
-A completed Quarantine Plan form
-A negative COVID-19 test result
If you are coming from a country where pre-board testing is not required, you will need to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival in Canada and quarantine for 14 days.

What are the basic requirements to enter Canada from the United States

Can US residents travel to Canada?

The U.S. now requires all air passengers coming from another country to get a viral test for COVID-19 within the three days before their flight to the U.S. Departure. If they don’t get tested, or if they test positive, they may be denied boarding.
It is important to have proper identification for you and your family when travelling to Canada. Acceptable forms of identification for entry into Canada include a passport, a NEXUS card and an enhanced driver’s licence. What does fully vaccinated mean

It is still important for fully vaccinated people to take precautions, such as wearing a mask and maintaining social distance, as there is still a small risk of contracting or spreading the virus.
Both the Express PCR and Rapid Antigen tests are used to detect the presence of the Covid-19 virus. The Express PCR test is more expensive, but the results are available in 1-3 hours. The Rapid Antigen test is less expensive, but the results are available in one hour.
Do you need booster to travel?
If you are planning to travel to a country that requires proof of vaccination against COVID-19, please be aware that you will need to provide evidence that you have received the vaccine at least 14 days before your planned arrival. You may also need to provide evidence of a booster dose, depending on how long ago you completed your COVID-19 vaccine course. Please check with the embassy or consulate of the country you are planning to visit for specific requirements.
Rapid tests for COVID-19 are acceptable if they meet the requirements under the Order. The Order requires that all viral tests must be FDA-authorized, have a specificity of at least 97.5%, and have a positive predictive value of at least 80%.
